A Comparison of Simulation-Based and Conventional Training Methods

چکیده
A growing chorus of practitioners sing the praises of simulation-based training. As pinched budgets drive managers to scrutinize the return on their training investments, the question is, are simulationbased methods more effective than conventional training methods, such as classroom-based and traditional eLearning? That is, do they result in greater retention, deeper understanding, higher levels of engagement, and better transfer of know-ledge to the job?

متن کاملComparison of the effects of two flatness based control methods for STATCOM on improving stability in power systems including DFIG based wind farms
Power grids are complex, interconnected and nonlinear systems, and this will be more severe when they are subjected to high wind resources penetration. Static synchronous compensators (STATCOM) are used to improve voltage regulation and to meet grid codes in power systems, including doubly fed induction generators (DFIG) based wind farms. Despite the nonlinear nature of STATCOM, the conventiona...

متن کاملTwo Novel Learning Algorithms for CMAC Neural Network Based on Changeable Learning Rate
Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller Neural Network is a computational model of cerebellum which acts as a lookup table. The advantages of CMAC are fast learning convergence, and capability of mapping nonlinear functions due to its local generalization of weight updating, single structure and easy processing. In the training phase, the disadvantage of some CMAC models is unstable phenomenon...
